Talking Books Library - Worcester Public Library serves Worcester and surrounding towns. Perkins School provides this service for the rest of Massachusetts. This is a federally funded program that is free to Massachusetts residents of any age who are unable to read traditional print materials due to a visual or physical or learning disability. Those interested must complete an application and register as a member. Hours of Operation: Monday-Saturday 9:00am-5:30pm. The Library has access to more than 1.2 million volumes of material incuding digital books, large type, described videos, braille, and 100 magazines in recorded and braille format. Materials are made available through mail-order service by telephone as well as on a walk-in basis.
