Councils on Aging are the principal agencies of local government which service the needs of the elderly. They provide access to social and recreational services throughout the Commonwealth and are based at Senior Centers or other municipal buildings such as town halls or community centers.

Councils provide access to social and recreational services throughout the Commonwealth and are based at senior centers or other municipal buildings such as town halls or community centers. Services may include: information and referral, nutrition programs, transportation, outreach, health screenings, education, support groups, advocacy, volunteer activities, arts and crafts, exercise programs, etc.
Meals are served Monday through Friday, noon. It is suggested that you arrive 15 minutes in advance. Suggested donation is $2.00/meal.
Please call before 9 AM the day of the meal to make a reservation.
Fuel Assistance - the center will assist elders with applications for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program.
Transportation - a van is available for rides to and from the Senior Center, 25 cents each way.
Other trips with-in town are offered M-F, 8-4.and are 50 cents each way. Please call at least 24 hours in advance. Out of town rides can be provided by PVTA.
