Free income tax preparation assistance for all middle and low-income taxpayers, with special atttention to those ages 60 and older is available from the beginning of February until April 15th through the AARP Foundation's Tax-Aide Program. Volunteers trained in cooperation with the IRS will assist in filling out federal and Massachusetts tax returns and file them electronically. You do not need to be a member of AARP or a retiree to use this service. They can assist seniors with filing for the Circuit Breaker Property Tax Credit.
