Through a partnership with Depts of Public Health and Housing and Community Development, MassHousing offers an affordable way to remove hazardous lead paint from your home. For more information about the Get the Lead Out program, including income limits, loan limits and how to apply, please visit www.masshousing.com/leadpaint.
The local rehabilitation agencies that administer loans for MassHousing are Town of Adams (Adams 413.743.8317), North Adams CDC (North Adams 413.662.3025), Williamstown Housing Authority (Serving Berkshire County towns except Adams and N. Adams, 413.458.8282).
Homeowners must have their property inspected by a state-licensed lead paint inspector, and use state-licensed deleading contractors for all high-risk work. De-leading that has been started prior to loan closing is ineligible.
