Through support, challenge and opportunity, Triangle empowers people with disabilities and their families to enjoy rich, fulfilling lives. Triangle operates six employment service centers and ten residences in Malden, Beverly, Danvers, Reading and Saugus. Services include:
•Employment Supports – this community is designed for people who are focused on employment. Since the best careers are found in the community, the Employment Supports team equips individuals to create their career goals, expand their employment experience through volunteering and internships, and secure supported or competitive employment. On a daily basis we support small teams of employees who work at companies like Boston Retail, Malden Department of Public Works, Polymer and Talbots. We also offer the job coaching for individuals working independently for companies like Home Depot and organizations like Malden YMCA.
•Career & Community Access – this community is designed for people who are focused on achieving career and independent living goals. On a regular day the CCA team might go to a library to research potential careers or attend a career networking group. In the afternoon the same team might head out to the community to strengthen their MBTA travel training skills, participate in walking club, or go a community kitchen to learn a new recipe for veggie lasagna. Some members participate in supported community employment or have part-time jobs in the community and attend CCA on the days they are not working.
•Community Choices & Community All-Stars – these learning communities are designed for people who are focused on living fun, active lives in the community. In the morning our crews might go on a tour at the Museum of Fine Art or learn about seasonal vegetables at a community farm. In the afternoon they may go to a Roman Music Therapy class or wrap up the day with yoga. This teams are always full of energy when they are on their way to learn a new skill or simply enjoy the day in the community.
•Residential Services – we provide the challenge and support individuals need to live more independent, dignified lives in their own homes. The people we support in Malden, Beverly, Danvers, North Reading, Peabody and Saugus love pursuing their hobbies, attending religious services, connecting with their neighbors and enjoying life in the community.
