Offers compassionate palliative care services for those living with a life limiting or terminal illness. Services are provided by a team of professionals who help the patient and family make a plan of care to meet their immediate needs. Serves patients where they live: in the hospital, skilled nursing facility, assisted living, their own home or that of a relative.
Palliative Care Collaboration: HospiceCare in The Berkshires has partnered with the BMC Cancer Center to deliver palliative care services to patients receiving treatment for cancer at the Cancer Center. These palliative care services are presented as part of an overall care plan at the BMC Cancer Center and aim to improve quality of life for patients undergoing treatment
Services include skilled nursing, home health aide, homemaking, bereavement counseling, social work, pain management, spiritual care and comfort measures. An RN is on call 24 hours for consultation and visits when needed.
Bereavement support services include: One-on-one support, grief support groups, programs for adults, teens & children, remembrance services, journaling/writing bereavement groups, suddon loss intervention, educational programs.
They care for everyone, regardless of ability to pay. Care is covered by most insurance providers.
