Councils on Aging are the principal agencies of local government which service the needs of the elderly. Councils provide access to social and recreational services throughout the Commonwealth and are based at Senior Centers or other municipal buildings such as town halls or Community Centers. The Council on Aging/Senior Center has social and recreational activities, transportation, congregate meals, and assistance with applications for public benefits programs.
