VIM is a volunteer-based community clinic with local healthcare professionals - physicians, nurse practitioners, and nurses; dentists & hygienists; optometrists; psychiatrists, therapists and counselors; acupuncturists; diabetic and nutrition counselors. Provides access to free, comprehensive healthcare for those in the Berkshire region who are income-qualified and uninsured or under-insured. Does not inquire about immigration status.
Hours: No emergency night or weekend coverage. All Clinics by Appointment Only. Call 413- 528-4014 to make an appointment for any of the services.
Dentists: Provides routine exams, restorations, simple extractions and full and partial dentures.
Mental Health Services : offers volunteer staff of psychiatrists, licensed therapists, social workers, and psychologists.
Optometry: Offers 3 sessions a month and provides exam and treatment of disorders of the eye. For visual problems, provides corrective lenses and frames (eyeglasses).
MEDICAL ELIGIBILITY GUIDELINES: Income Limit: 300% Federal Poverty Guidelines- about$35,000/yr for 1 person, or $70,000/year for a family of 4; resident of Berkshire County and nearby towns in CT and NY; Age must be between 19 & 64 years; must be uninsured for the services that you are seeking. Applies to medical, mental health, & eye services.
DENTAL ELIGIBILITY GUIDELINES: Income Limit: 300% Federal Poverty Guidelines, about $35,000/year for one person, or $70,000/year for a family of four; resident of Berkshire County and certain nearby towns in CT and NY; Age must be between 19 & 70 years; must have no dental insurance.
