The Reading Response Transportation Program provides Reading residents a variety of transportation options based on personal needs.
Elder/Human Services Van: Must be a Reading resident and over age 60 and/or disabled. Rides provided to grocery stores and Senior Center. No Cost for rides. Locations include all of Reading; very limited out-of-town locations. Wheelchair lift available. Call 781-942-6794 at least 2 days in advance to request a ride. Hours of Operation: M-TH 9:00am - 3:00pm, F 9:00am - 1:00pm.
Reading Response Medical Transportation: Must be a Reading resident, any age. Rides provided to in-town and out-of-town medical appointments. Proof of income required to determine cost to passenger (sliding scale based on income). Wheelchair lift available upon request. Must complete application in advance for eligibility. Call 781-942-6608 for more information and to request an application. Hours of Operation: M-F 9:00am - 4:00pm.
Income Eligable consumers may be able to access a lifeline unit paid for through the town of Reading and up to one day of Adult Dat Health.
