The Volunteer Lawyers Project, a program of the Boston Bar Association, is a pro bono project which means that all the legal help is free. Once a client has been screened for eligibility, an appointment is scheduled to see a paralegal. A decision is then made to represent the person or not. They primarily service low income persons in the Greater Boston area with problems in eviction, guardianship, consumer issues, foreclosures, Social Security, powers of attorney, tax probate, SSI problems, a
