The J. Michael Ruane residence provides for 14 units of congregate living and is located in the former Oliver School in historic Salem, situated within walking distance to the Council on Aging, post office, grocery store, and other shops. The residence is designed to provide residents with attractive and comfortable common areas including a living room, den, dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen. Residents also have access to a large capacity washer and dryer, and each unit is equipped with a half bath and kitchenette.
Application process and approval is through the Salem Housing Authority.
